Our Mission...
To provide safe, enriching day activities for adult individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities in a positive, Christ-centered environment that will help them reach their fullest social, emotional, and vocational potential.

We believe everyone has value, as well as unique God-given gifts and talents to share and that all are equal in God’s sight.
 
Our Name...
is based on the story of Mephibosheth in the Old Testament book, II Samuel, Chapter 9 where an individual with a disability was given a place of honor in the home of King David as an act of kindness.
 
What we do...
The day program includes daily activities of Social Time, Life Skills Training, Pre-vocational Activities, Music & Crafts, Bible Lessons & Prayer, Exercise, community outings and more. Hours of operation are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Mondays and Thursdays.  Our goal is to provide a day program that will offer hours similar to a typical work day, five days per week, to accommodate the needs of full-time caregivers.
 
Who supports us...
2nd Sam 9 was developed by a group of dedicated members of the Greene County community who envisioned a faith based program built to meet the needs of developmentally disabled adults. The program provides day activities and does not cost to attend. Churches, groups, corporations, community developers and individuals, like you, support us with their donations monthly, annually or through special giving events and opportunities.  We participate in iGive.com where merchants from your regular online shopping provide a % of your purchase to the charity of your choice.  We hope that your charity will be 2nd Sam 9.  

We are a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible.
